Tony Packo's restaurant has a knack for showing up in popular places. During the 1970s Toledo native Jamie Farr worked Tony Packo's Cafe into the shows script. In 1997 Astronaut Donald Thomas took a can of Tony Packo's Hot Dog Sauce into outer space on the U.S. shuttle Columbia. Additionally, on the walls of the restaurant hang buns signed by celebrities including Bill Clinton, Charlton Heston, Tony Bennett, Scott Hamilton, Sinbad, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Ron Howard, and many others.
